Columbus State University: Transgender Literature Celebration

Did you know that 3 of the top ten most banned books of 2019 featured transgender characters? What if we celebrated these books instead of censoring them?

On November 16 -18, Ben Baker, CSU Communications professor, hosted interviews with local activists as well as Susan Kuklin, the author of Beyond Magenta: Transgender Teens Speak Out, the #2 most banned book of 2019. Topics included the transgender experience, representation in literature, and more.
