Mrs. Roberta Ford
Position: Associate Dean, Music Librarian
Roberta Ford, BA in Music; SUNY Geneseo; MM, SUNY Fredonia; MLS, SUNY Buffalo; further studies (doctoral level) at the Eastman School of Music. Serves as Head of the Columbus State University (CSU) Music Library (2000- ) and Assistant Dean of CSU Libraries; teaches the graduate Music Bibliography course in the SSOM. Prior to coming to CSU, she was the Head of the East Carolina University Music Library for eleven years, and served two years as a public services librarian in the Buffalo and Erie County Public Library Music and Dance Department. Professional activities include chairing and serving on several Music Library Association (MLA) committees and as Recording Secretary on the MLA Board; serving as chair of the Southeast Chapter – MLA; president of the Columbus Area Library Association; and participating as a 2008 Summer Fellow in Vanderbilt University’s Peabody Professional Institute for Academic Library Leadership.
