45th Anniversary as a FDLP Government Documents Depository

The year 2020 is the 45th anniversary of Columbus State University Libraries' role as a United States government document depository. As a member of the Federal Depository Library Program (FDLP), CSU Libraries has the responsibilty to make U.S. government documents available to both the students and faculty of Columbus State University and the Chattahoochee Valley community, at large.

CSU Libraries is one of almost 1,150 federal depositories in the United States.  This great honor allows CSU Libraries the ability to collect government documents to support the CSU curriculum and the interests of the outside community.  For example, the CSU Libraries' government documents collection includes resources, such as books on U.S. history, census information, geographical information about Georiga, Presidential budget information and Congressional documents, just to name a few.  Likewise, most of the government documents that CSU Libraries collects are available online through both its GIL-Find Catalog and the GALILEO portal.

The FDLP has a long history of providing governmental information to the citizens of the United States.  The CSU community is very fortunate to have access to such a rich collection.  CSU Libraries is excited to celebrate this special anniversary and also looks forward to providing access to governmental information in the future.
